What is the cooling system for internal combustion engines?

The cooling system keeps the engine running in the so-called. thermal equilibrium which comprises determining the average temperature distribution of a specific individual parts or locations in the engine. By adjusting the intensity of the cooling can ensure such a state of thermal equilibrium, the heat losses due to the need for engine cooling are moderate. Average operating temperature of the engine should therefore be as high as possible, the fact that the degree of heat should not cause premature wear of engine oil. It follows that the cooling system is designed to maintain the best possible state of thermal equilibrium and not as efficiently cool the engine.
Drivers often underestimate the harmful effects of overcooling the engine, resulting from too intensive cooling. Meanwhile, at too low average operating temperatures of the engine dramatically increases the intensity of their consumption, increases fuel consumption and decreases perceptibly useful engine power.
